BioCatalyst founder, Sheridan Snyder, has a long term interest in helping youth build on their dreams. In 1968 Sherry set up the nonprofit National Junior Tennis League with his good friends, Arthur Ashe and Charles Pasarell. He thoroughly enjoyed this activity and is proud of this program, which has been operating for 37 years and has introduced tennis to over 6 million inner city youths in 500 cities. The NJTL is now the official grass roots tennis program of the United States Tennis Association.
Relating to the NJTL, Arthur Ashe said, “ Our idea is to use tennis as a way to gain and hold the attention of young people in the inner cities and other low income environments so that we can teach them about matters more important than tennis…Through tennis, lives can be changed and spirits reclaimed.”
BioCatalyst and its founder, Sherry Snyder, will commit the time, capital and effort to bring a youth entrepreneur's “dream” program to teams of young people from 8-16 years of age, not dissimilar to his efforts in creating the National Junior Tennis League.
